Basic Education Support Projects
MAF provides basic education support to the students in Malaysia especially in rural areas by offering funds to refurbish the facilities of the schools including construction of a multipurpose futsal and sepak takraw court, restoration of a faulty electrical system, upgrading the libraries and a computer room, as well as purchase equipment and furniture for a sensory room for special needs children.

Sayap Bagimu Tablet Donation Programme
MAF has initiated Sayap Bagimu programme to facilitate digital learning for the low-income families in Malaysia. Together with AEON CO. (M) BHD. and AEON Credit., the programme offers a helping hand to the underprivileged students to ensure inclusiveness and effective online study as they undergo the government’s home-based teaching and learning initiative.
MAF has distributed more than 4,000 tablets with internet connectivity and online tuition classes to the underprivileged children nationwide with the support from Ministry of Education, Yayasan Didik Negara, Yayasan TM, Yayasan Peneraju and Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa.

Education Sponsorship Programme
AEON Credit has launched AEON Credit Education Sponsorship Programme since 2017 in the aim of supporting human capital development.
To-date, the Group contributed a total of RM1.14 million to the deserving students from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Sains Malaysia to pursue their undergraduate studies and tertiary education at top local public universities.

Management Trainee Programme
AEON Credit Management Trainee programme was introduced in 2019 to attract talented individuals aiming to unleash their potential and nurture them to be future leaders This programme gives young talents the opportunity to explore a wide breadth of fields, expertise and knowledge throughout the rotational in multiple departments at AEON Credit.
The selected talents will be offering a Supervisor role once they completed the 18-months programme with outstanding performances.

Young Financial Savvy Programmes
AEON Credit launched the Young Financial Savvy Programme which aims to instil good financial habits such as savings and prudent spending amongst teenagers and children. The participants will be learning the practical tips and knowledge of handling their financial.

Ampang Jaya Badminton Club (AJBC) Junior Badminton Development Programme
AEON Credit is the main title sponsor of the Ampang Jaya Badminton Club for the Junior Development Programme since 2018, a platform that offers exposure to Malaysians who interested in becoming a professional badminton player as well as honing local talents and increasing the local players’ pool.
The AEON Credit Junior Development programme is designed to scout for new talents in the local communities and to prepare these talents physically and mentally to compete at the global arena.

Coaching Clinic is one of the most important components of the AEON Credit Junior Development Programme. In the view of speed up the development of the talents with the right training, AJBC conducts coaching for the underprivileged students and underserved schools nationwide.
In 2019, AEON Credit launched AJBC Employment Programme in 2019 which offers employment opportunity to AJBC players to work in AEON Credit and develop their career and skills in the corporate world. There are three players are currently working with our company.

Since 2019, AEON Credit launched the AEON Credit Purple League Junior with Malaysia Purple League (MPL), the private entity which brought us the nation's first professional badminton league.

In 2019, we established the AEON Credit’s Corporate Badminton team to promote and encourage health and wellness among our employees. The team have won several championships such as the Corporate Purple League (Top 5) and Media Championship since then.
Community Well-being
In line with the Code of Conduct of the Group, AEON Credit is committed to support local community growth. An array of activities such as visitation to orphanages, old folks homes, disaster relief aid and general donations to underprivilege communities will be organised every year. The volunteers from different level and races across the group will engage with the local communities to create a positive relationship with stakeholders.
Blood Donation Drives with Local Bloodbank Centers
As a gift of life to meet the depleting blood supply at National Blood Bank, the Group actively engaged with local Government Hospital and Non-Profitable Medical Organisation to conduct Blood Donation at Regional Offices, branches and Head Office. The drive also sees the participation of employees, business partners and customers steadily increase every year. The Group will continue this effort to support to those in need.
AEON Credit People Outreach – Employee Volunteering Programme
Every employee of AEON Credit are required to participate in the programme and conduct Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities based on the Group’s CSR pillars to ensure a positive outreach to surrounding stakeholders of where we operate. Among activities conducted are visitations to orphanages, old folks home, gotong-royong session, support fund-raising activities by NGO and clean-up during natural disaster. The Group aims to instil the positive and responsible values amongst employees through this programme.
Supporting Road Safety Awareness Programmes
Every year, the Group will collaborate with Road Safety Department, Motorcycle Manufacturers and Malaysia Motorcycle and Scooters Dealer Association to organize Road Safety Campaign during festive seasons aiming to reduce motorcyclist fatalities on the road. Through contribution of SIRIM-certified children motorcycle helmets, the Group aims to ensure the safety of the children while riding pillion is protected.
Financial Assistance to Targeted Customers
We provided financial relief assistance to customers who are facing repayment challenges impacted by disaster and pandemic. Affected customers can apply the assistance via our Customer Service channels or visit the nearest branch.

Malaysian AEON Foundation - Mesra Chinese New Year 2023 at Lost World of Tambun Theme Park, Perak
In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, AEON Credit supported the Foundation's "Mesra Chinese New Year" programme by bringing joy to 77 children from local charity organizations and the community through a holiday outing at the Lost World of Tambun Theme Park in Ipoh, Perak.
AEON Credit, along with other AEON Group volunteers, played an important role in spreading joy among the children by engaging with them in telematches and accompanying them on park rides and exhibits. The children were also treated to a dance performance and received Ang Pao and festive goody bags to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

Malaysian AEON Foundation - AEON Bersamamu Programme with Community at Flat Seri Melaka, Cheras
AEON Credit, in collaboration with the Foundation, successfully conducted another AEON Bersamamu initiative with the community at Flat Seri Melaka in Cheras. This project was made possible with the support of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), Alam Flora Environmental Services (AFES), and AEON Group Volunteers.
As part of the community service, the AEON Group volunteers participated in activities such as community kitchens, gotong-royong tournaments, and telematches, all while spreading positivity and energy together with the community. The Group also conducted HR recruitment session and promoted road safety awareness by donating 100 SIRIM-certified children's helmets and adult safety vests.
In addition, the recycling buyback counter managed to collect 131 kg of recyclable waste and used cooking oil.

The AEON Bantu program, the flagship disaster relief program by the Foundation, was initiated to assist victims in the states of Pahang and Johor who had been affected by sudden floods.
On 25th February, homecare boxes worth RM27,000 were distributed to 315 families in Kg. Sg. Pandan and Kg. Permatang Badak, Kuantan, Pahang, with the help of AEON Credit volunteers, AEON Group volunteers, and local communities.
Next, on 10th March, another relief aid effort took place with support from the Sri Gading Parliamentary Member's Office, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Living Costs (Batu Pahat), and the Batu Pahat Red Crescent Society. YB Tuan Haji Aminolhuda Bin Hassan, Sri Gading MP, was also present during the handover session held at SJKC Hwa Nan, together with volunteers from AEON Credit and AEON Group.
A total of 450 homecare boxes worth RM40,000, consisting of non-perishable food items, hygiene care products, and sanitary items, were distributed to three relief centers in Batu Pahat, Johor.

This initiative has been implemented in 40 secondary and primary schools across 10 states nationwide. Furthermore, there are plans for future engagement programs aimed at promoting digital literacy among students and their communities with the goal of reducing the digital literacy gap.
An official handover ceremony took place at SK Mengkuang in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, on 26 March 2023. The ceremony was graced by the presence of YB Puan Fadhlina Binti Sidek, Minister of Education and Datin Noryahwati Binti Mohd. Noh, the Foundation President. This entire project, valued at RM 2 million, was a joint contribution between AEON Credit and AEON CO. (M) BHD.
It serves as an annual grant to support the Foundation's mission to enhance the education standards in Malaysia, particularly among low-income communities.

In collaboration with local mosques and community associations, AEON Credit volunteers distributed a total of 3,000 bowls of bubur lambuk at six locations nationwide.
Bubur lambuk, a local delicacy synonymous with Ramadan, was later shared with the communities surrounding AEON Credit branches and Regional Offices as a gesture of spreading the spirit of Ramadan.

In conjunction with Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri, AEON Credit volunteers, along with AEON Group volunteers, hosted a charity session for 320 children from local charity associations and orphanages as part of the Foundation's Mesra Ramadan programme. This event took place at six selected AEON Malls and AEON BiG outlets nationwide.
As the flagship program during the festivities, AEON Mesra benefited children from these associations and orphanages, including families from low-income communities, ensuring that they could also enjoy the Syawal celebration.

AEON Credit Regional Blood Donation Drive at Eastern Regional and East Malaysia
On 22 June 2023, a Blood Donation Drive took place at our Eastern Regional Office, Menara Zenith, Kuantan, in collaboration with the Transfusion Unit from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA). We had 73 registered donors, resulting in the successful collection of 59 pints of blood.
Then on 20th July 2023, another Blood Donation Drive occurred at Level 6, iCom Square, in collaboration with the Transfusion Unit and Blood Bank from Hospital Umum Sarawak. A total of 57 registered donors participated, resulting in the successful collection of 53 pints of blood.
This initiative aimed to replenish the low blood stock at the blood bank and increase awareness of the importance of collective community blood donation efforts.

On 22 September 2023, 8 volunteers under the Group management trainee program had the opportunity to give back to society as they prepared for the year-end monsoon season with the Malaysian AEON Foundation.
They were joined by volunteers from AEON Retail to prepare 1,008 donation boxes containing dry food, instant beverages, personal hygiene items and blankets worth RM120,000.
The Group hope that this preparation will ensure fast assistance to victims during natural calamities which AEON Credit supports the Foundation natural calamity flagship programme namely AEON Bantu.

In our effort to promote financial literacy, the Group initiated the AEON Credit Financial Savvy Programme, which was recently extended to benefit 73 teachers hailing from schools participating in the AEON Smart Classroom Project.
This initiative was thoughtfully synchronized with a teacher workshop designed to enhance financial literacy among them and improve the digital learning experience for students within these educational institutions. Participating teachers underwent comprehensive training in responsible credit management, self-assessment of their financial well-being and strategies to safeguard against financial scams.
Following the enlightening 3-hour session, Mr. Daisuke Maeda, the Group Managing Director, personally conferred participation certificates to the teachers. He also highlighted the Group's intention to expand the program to include students as an integral part of AEON Credit's 3-year Sustainability Roadmap.
This impactful initiative received a substantial financial contribution of RM1.0 million from AEON Credit, in collaboration with Yayasan Didik Negara. It is with immense pride that we note the successful handover of this project to the Ministry of Education in March 2023. This financial commitment forms part of a more comprehensive RM2.0 million commitment, with AEON CO. (M) BHD. donating RM1.0 million in 2022.

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, AEON Credit and Malaysian AEON Foundation (MAF) organised shopping spree with the assistance of the volunteers at three AEON Malls and three AEON BIG outlets nationwide respectively.

In collaboration with Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS), AEON Credit organised its annual event - ‘Back to School’ programme at AEON Mall Nilai as part of the corporate responsibilities aiming to create positive impacts for the communities in need.
250 pupils from SK Bukit Tadom, SJKC Dengkil and SJKT Taman Permata who affected by the flood in Dengkil were treated a shopping spree on 31st March 2022. 57 volunteers from AEON Credit and YSS assisted the pupils to purchase the back-to-school necessities such as school uniforms, stationeries, and school bags.

In support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) 1 (No Poverty) and 2 (Zero Hunger) and in line with the mission of the Group in contributing toward the well-being of society, the volunteers prepared and distributed a total of 3,500 packs of bubur lambuk to the local community included security and medical frontliners, congregation from the selected mosques as well as residents at the selected branches in six locations.
In the effort to minimise use of single-use plastic, the team were using eco-friendly containers such as paper bowls and bags throughout the distribution.

This road safety campaign was annual event organised by Malaysian Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association (MMSDA) together with Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia which aimed to increase awareness in reducing road fatalities during festive season.
AEON Credit participated the campaign by setting a booth at PETRONAS Station Bukit Jalil, Technology Park Malaysia to provide free inspection of motorcycles and exchange of old helmets with new SIRIM-certified helmets for the patrons.

Malaysian AEON Foundation (MAF) donated a total worth of RM34,000 items consisted of dry foods, clean drinking water and personal hygiene care kits to 400 flood victims in Temerloh.
The volunteers worked with 7th Battalion of Royal Ranger Regiment (Mekanize) under Malaysian Armed Forces to pack and deliver the items to the victims.

In the aim of helping Malaysia to fulfill aspiration of finding the next Olympic badminton champion, AEON Credit organised a Purple League Junior competition to welcome all talented badminton players to participate.
Tan Jia Jie (Frank) who currently employed under the Company’s AJBC employment programme for badminton players clinched championship title under the Under-18 Boys’ Singles category. The champion secured a chance to undergo intensive badminton training with Badminton Association of Malaysia for two weeks.
Mr. Andrew Ooi Keat Choon, Group Head of Marketing and Business Development of AEON Credit officiated the closing ceremony which saw Butterworth BC being crowned the overall champion.

MAF initiated ‘Sayap Bagimu’ programme to support the underprivileged students who faced challenges of dramatic shift to online learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite undergoing a year filled with uncertainties due to the Covid-19, MAF and the volunteers across the AEO Group tended to lift the spirits of Christmas in different way.
MAF reached out to the underprivileged children and compiled their Christmas wish list instead of bringing them to the malls for shopping spree in order to minimise the risk of the spreading of Covid-19.

The 100 children were treated with a Yee Sang tossing ceremony and shopping spree as well as energetic lion dance performance and a God of Prosperity appearance.

Due to the sudden spike of COVID-19 and overwhelming cases for medical frontliners, MAF donated a total of 2,000 homecare boxes containing food and hygiene items and 300 foldable chairs, amounting to a total worth of RM157,160 to medical frontliners at four hospitals in Malaysia namely Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Ampang, Hospital Melaka and Hospital Seremban.
The donation was a token of appreciation towards the commitment and dedication shown by frontliners in carrying out their duties to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic within the community.

AEON Group contributed a total of 300 new motorcycles under the AEON Rider program via the support of MAF. The program aimed to provide job opportunities for up to 300 Malaysian who were affected and unemployed due to the Movement Control Order to curb the spread of Covid-19.

AEON Credit supported AEONBantu programme kicked off by MAF by donated the items with a total worth of RM56,813 to 375 flood victims at three Temporary Flood Relief Centers in Mambau (Negeri Sembilan) and Hulu Langat (Selangor). The volunteers of AEON Group gathered to shop and wrap Christmas gifts for the children of Pure Life Society in order to prepare the upcoming Christmas celebration.
On 17 December, 84 underprivileged children were treated with an array of activities included special appearance of Santa Clause and La Boheme Chef as well as gifts presentation.
The meaningful occasion was attended by Datin Yasmin Ahmad Merican, President of MAF, Mr. Lee Kit Seong, Chief Corporate Officer of AEON Credit and Mr. Faizul Hamzah, Chief Compliance Officer of AEON Credit.
